YEAR: 2017
BUILDING: Santa Eulàlia de Vilapicina's Church
CITY/REGION: Barcelona (Catalonia)
DIMENSIONS:  Ø 6m (28,2 m2)

Set formed by a large circle of 6 meters in diameter and a frieze, with tempera technique on a wooden board, located on the altar of the temple. The painting dedicated to Saint Eulalia represents the snow that preserves the beauty of the lifeless body of the young martyr, like the white robes of the martyrs of the Apocalypse. This scene suggests the spiritual beauty that must perpetuate and the significance of her martyrdom: the saint rests at the foot of the cross, in the background Barcelona and the sea covered by a protective cloud that gives off snowflakes.
