Specialist in fresco painting in large architectural spaces. He comes from a family of painters, and began painting in fresco in the workshop of his father Jaume Minguell i Miret.

He interprets this age-old technique with contemporary criteria in order to integrate painting into buildings, to represent great themes and to make the spectator the visual protagonist of his pictorial works.

Until 1995 he exhibited in various galleries and exhibitions in Catalonia, Spain, France and Italy. Large format paintings that are placed in the context of the avant-garde to evolve towards organic abstraction. From this year onwards, he focuses his artistic activity on fresco mural painting.

 
To date, he has painted 45 sets of fresco paintings, including the staircase and the façade of the Lleida Provincial Council, the church of Santa Maria de l'Alba in Tàrrega, the church of Sant Joan de Reus, and the Faculty of Medicine. of the UdL, Carrara Residence (Italy), church of the Espluga Calba. Most of the projects have been accompanied by the public exhibition of all the preparatory artistic material.

At the same time, he has carried out research and technical and conceptual dissemination of fresco mural painting, reflected in the doctoral thesis defended at the University of Barcelona (2009) and the publication of a version of it under the title of "Mural painting in fresco, strategies of painters." (Edicions UdL 2014)

He has taught at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (2006), Lezio magistralis at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (2009, 2010), University of Barcelona (2010), Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2009), direction and teaching during 10 years of the summer course of mural painting of the University of Lleida, master of restoration of mural painting at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2008,2009,2010,2011).
